For God so Loved

For God so Loved

For God so LovedJohn 3:16a

Just saying those four words is so powerful. You will see how Jesus fulfilled His destiny of love especially to us women. He loved us so much that He said it wasn’t good for man to be alone. Because of His love a virgin by the name of Mary brought forth a child, Emmanuel, which would leave an everlasting impact on the world. He loved on a woman whom He met at a well and so graciously forgave her of her adulteress nature, it was His love. Because of His love He allowed a woman who remains nameless to anoint Him with fragrances from her alabaster box.

There is no love that compares to the love of God. His love truly is unconditional.  From His birth to His death everything that Jesus did was based on His love for mankind and pleasing His Father. Even from the cross His expression of love for those who crucified Him was evident, He states, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” But yet He chose to stay on the cross and be a living sacrifice for our sins, that’s love.

What kind of love is this?

Jesus loves us ladies more than I can even articulate. Many of us including myself have been through some difficult times and if it had not been for the love of Christ, we never would have made it through. I know what it is too struggle as a single parent, when the fathers of my children left me to carry the load of raising them alone. Or when the men I chose to marry wasn’t God’s best for me. It doesn’t mean they weren’t good men but he wasn’t the man for me because I married out of my flesh instead of being led by The Spirit.  Even in that situation was the precious love of Jesus that enabled me to be the best mother I could be.

Oh what love the Father has bestowed on those who love Him.

I’ve loved the Lord since I was a little girl. It was practiced in my Christian family and I had the privilege of seeing His love lived out in my home each and every day. My grandparents treated me as if I was their daughter. They loved me in the way I was disciplined and rewarded. My grandmother, up until the day she died, always made sure to give me her best. If it was through the meals she cooked, teaching me to be a respectful girl or showing me how to sew, it was always done in love.  Even when I became pregnant out of wedlock she was the one who told me to keep my baby as this child would be a gift of love from the Lord.

For God so Loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.

What a gift of love for us all ladies.  Don’t ever forget that you are loved by the one who took time and created you in His image, uniquely made and not a carbon copy. There is no other in the world like you. He loves us no matter what our past or present life looks like. His love over compensates our mistakes, short comings and even our failures. The birth of Jesus was the ultimate gift given for all – and even you, His daughters. This Christmas season remember how special you are. You are a gift sent to earth from heaven above because of His love. Oh how He loves you and me.

Reflect this Christmas on the gift of love given to you, through your, children, family, friends and most importantly Jesus. Don’t allow hurt, discouragement or disappointments keep you from feeling the supernatural love of God. The more you focus on His love for you the more you can focus on your love for yourself and others. You and I are worth receiving every bit of His precious perfect love.

Read the sentence below out loud, and put your name in the space and absorb every drop of His unconditional love for you.
